Benefit Auction (2014):
Ed Foundation auction is a hit

by Mike Dalton, Cannon Falls Beacon

A standing-room only crowd attended the annual Cannon Falls Education Foundation auction fundraiser Saturday night, held for the first time at the Cannon Golf Club.

Attendees placed bids on a large number of both silent and live auction items, and participated in numerous games that helped make the night a fun one. Rod Johnson of Cannon Falls was the evening's auctioneer and emcee.

Matt Fimmen of Cannon Falls was the winner of the 50" TV, and Kayleen Kremers won the auction spoiler contest. She chose the beer-a-day donated by Mill Street, to the consternation of at least a couple of potential bidders in the audience.

Organizers were pleased with the turnout, and felt they were close to their fundraising goal for the evening.

All proceeds go to CFEF
