Cannon Falls High School Interact students packed meals at Second Harvest Heartland on Wednesday, January 9th.  In the hour and a half that they worked, 7,500 meals were packed for needy families in the Twin Cities. Pictured are Interact members Julia Jarvi, Maddie Hall, Xander Weinreich, Nate Van Zuilen and Casey Vagts. It was an amazing experience.  The food bank is as large as the Cannon Falls Fieldhouse.  The packing area featured a conveying belt that moved the boxes along as food was placed inside.  A machine sealed the boxes and then the boxes were placed on platforms that were moved and stored in the food bank.  Bakery products, fruits, and milk are also given to families.  Interact is hoping to make this a yearly community service project.
