Practical English class started their "Functional Reading Unit" last week. We kicked off the unit with the legos purchased for us by the Cannon Falls Education Foundation. 🧱🤩 The juniors and seniors were so incredibly focused (and a little frustrated) with the tiny legos we selected for them. We were loving it because it made them look at the directions even more carefully. 🧐 Thank you Ed Foundation! #LearningInThe252

The Masked Readers were back for another “I Love To Read” month. 📚🧐 Sixteen staff members at the elementary grabbed a mask and a book, had their picture taken and shared some of their favorite things. Each week the kids received clues about four readers and then sent Mrs. Kopp their class guesses on Thursday. Two classes who guessed all 4 readers correctly won a class snack each Friday. 🍎🍪✨ #LearningInThe252

Ms. Schwarz, Mr. Lindow, and the Practical English class would like to send a huge THANK YOU to John and the morning crew at Family Fare for letting us spend a period there researching prices as we plan our fictitious 4 day/3 night trip to somewhere in greater MN! Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade recently finished a unit in Media exploring Non-fiction and the Dewey Decimal System. Each student created a mini poster featuring a particular Dewey number with a drawing related to its subject. Here are a few of their creations! 📚🤩⬇️ #LearningInThe252

In Media, 1st graders talked about the parts of a book and the important information you find on a book's front cover. Then they created their own book covers featuring Pete the Cat or Fly Guy. 📚✍️ #LearningInThe252

The annual Bomber Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 5:30 in the HS Atrium.

Due to today's school closing the Fieldhouse is closed on Friday, January 23.
