Recently, the 7th grade class participated in the Youth Frontiers Courage Retreat where they learned about addressing their inner fears, respecting one another, and finding the courage to do the right thing! 😌🫶They had a blast dancing, playing games, and having small group discussions with their high school leaders. Kindergarteners in Mrs. Nelsons class learned about Martin Luther King, Jr. and how he promoted peace. 🌎🫶🕊️ They each drew a way they feel peace, such as relaxing, playing with friends, or hugging family members. #LearningInThe252

New year, new books! 📚 All K-5th grade students had a chance to play Library Musical Chairs in Media and discover something new to borrow. Everyone left with a book (even if they forgot to bring their books back after Winter Break 😉). #LearningInThe252

In December in Mrs. Schliep’s art room, 2nd graders made cozy critters out of construction paper, including movable arms and legs. Pretty awesome to see the students turn scrap papers into something new and creative! 🐻🦊✂️🎨 #LearningInThe252

Students in 4th grade through high school have been working on a challenge given by the ILEO IBM Robotics program since October. 🤖💻 Due to weather, we missed the tournament in Rochester—so we held one in Cannon Falls instead! The high school robotics team members were mentors to the 4th and 5th graders. All teams ran and scored well! 🤩👏 #LearningInThe252

✨🎶 Here we come a-caroling! High school choir students caroled at Merchant's Bank and Cannon Rivers Senior Living. They spread Christmas cheer with music from our concert! 🎶🎄 #LearningInThe252

Minnesota Honor Society students from Cannon Falls High School are available from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays to help any middle school or high school student with school work.

The Annual Minnesota Honor Society Food Drive was a huge success! 🙌 The elementary school competes to collect the most goods—and this year we collected over 1,050 pounds of food, PLUS many items of non-perishables that the Food Shelf really needed! Shout-out to Chloe, the Chair of the Food Drive, and thank you ALL for your contributions and labor to make this work! 🤩 #LearningInThe252

CannonBelles Cheese hosted tours of their cheesemaking facility for all 3 sections of Biology classes as well as the AP Biology class. 🧀 Thank you to Deeann and the rest of the CannonBelles production staff for facilitating our visit! 🤩🙌 #LearningInThe252

The Drama Class has been working in groups to begin learning their play they will perform as their final for the class. We can’t wait to see them shine! 🎭✨ #LearningInThe252

Principal Strauss has been making the rounds in kindergarten and preschool classrooms to read a book called “The Right Thing To Do.” 📚🤩 Students have enjoyed it very much and have loved learning some tips on how to make good choices. Thanks to Mr. Strauss for sharing this story with our youngest Bombers! 🙌
